Knowledge base
Last updated: October 2026
Every feature you ship deserves a help article. Flowmaps drafts one for each Shipped card, written for your customers, in your product's language. You review it, publish it, and it appears on your public help page. You can also download everything as Markdown for your own website.
Drafting articles needs your Anthropic API key. See Settings and your API key.
Open it
Every venture has a Knowledge base tab, next to Mind map and Board. You'll also find it in the sidebar under each venture.
Set it up once
At the top of the Knowledge base tab:
- Language: the language your articles are written in, such as English or Nederlands. The public help page uses it too.
- Public address: the web address of your help page, like
/help/layerloopsdata. - Public help page: switch it on to make your help page visible to anyone with the link.
Click Save.
Write articles
- Under Ready to write, you see every Shipped feature that doesn't have an article yet.
- Click Draft on one, or Draft all. Claude writes each article from the card's notes and build prompts.
- The article opens in the editor as a Draft. Drafts are never visible to the public.
Claude writes for customers, not developers: what the feature does, why it's useful, and how to use it, step by step. It doesn't invent button names or screens your notes don't mention, so check the steps and fill in exact names where needed.

Review and publish
In the editor you can change the title, the summary (shown in the article list), the section (like Billing or Getting started) and the text. Switch between Write and Preview. The text uses Markdown: ## Heading, **bold**, 1. for numbered steps.
- Publish puts the article on your help page.
- Unpublish takes it off again.
- Redraft with Claude writes a fresh version, for example after you changed the feature. A redrafted article goes back to Draft until you publish it again.
- Delete removes the article. The feature stays in Ready to write, so you can draft it again later.
Your public help page
Your help page lists every published article, grouped by section, with a search box. Each article has its own page with its last update date and links to related articles.
Link to it from your website's menu or footer. Only published articles of ventures with the public help page switched on are visible. Drafts, cards, flags and everything else in Flowmaps stay private.
Use it on your own website
Click Download .zip to get your published articles as Markdown files:
index.md: a contents page grouped by section- one file per article, named after its address, like
saving-a-payment-card.md
Each file starts with a small header (front matter) with its title, section, summary and update date. Most website builders and documentation tools can import these files directly.
Example
Your feature "Users sign up and save credit cards" moved to Shipped. In the Knowledge base tab of LayerloopsData, set to Nederlands, you click Draft. A few seconds later you have:
Een betaalkaart opslaan Facturatie: Zo voeg je een betaalkaart toe aan je account.
You check the steps, change "the billing page" into the real menu name, and click Publish. The article is now live at /help/layerloopsdata/een-betaalkaart-opslaan, and in the ZIP for your own site.
