AI suggestions

Last updated: October 2026

When you add an idea, Claude suggests follow-up ideas: the missing pieces, prerequisites and open questions you'd otherwise discover too late.

You need your own Anthropic API key for this. See Settings and your API key.

How it works

  1. You add an idea with the bar at the bottom of the mind map.
  2. The card shows "Thinking of follow-ups…" for a few seconds.
  3. 2 to 4 suggestion cards appear below it, with dashed borders and a dashed line to your idea.
  4. For each suggestion, you choose:
    • Add to map: it becomes a normal card, linked to your idea with a related to line.
    • Dismiss: it disappears.

Suggestions you haven't decided on stay on the mind map, also after a reload, until you add or dismiss them. You can drag them to a better spot first; a suggestion lands where you put it.

Suggestions for existing ideas

Open any card and click Suggest follow-ups in the side panel. Any earlier suggestions for that card that you hadn't decided on are replaced by the new ones.

What Claude looks at

Claude reads your whole venture: its name and description, the idea you just added, and the other cards on the mind map. That's why:

  • it doesn't suggest things that are already on your mind map, and
  • suggestions fit your project instead of being generic.

The better your venture description and card notes, the better the suggestions. Claude answers in the language of your idea.

Example

Your venture describes an analytics tool connected to Shopify and Meta Ads. You add "Users sign up and save credit cards". Claude suggests:

  • Integrate a payment processor like Stripe
  • Choose subscription plans and pricing tiers
  • Free trial before card is required?
  • Handle failed payments and account suspension

You add the first three and dismiss the last one for now.
